A Bad Case of Stripes, written by David Shannon, is such a fun book to read! Camilla Cream is always worrying about what her peers think of her. She loved lima beans but she refused to eat them because all of her friends hated them. She worried so much that on the first day of school her skin was covered in stripes! Eventually she had to go to school and everyone talked about her! There was only one thing that could cure this... something that she loved oh so much!! I can use this in my classroom to teach students about peer pressure and being themselves! I can have the students draw a student's name from a bucket and have them write a compliment to them!
